Day 1 - Early morning arrival and reception at the airport to Petrolina city, Pernambuco state, we will drive to Canudos city, Bahia state (around 200 Km – 3 hours). After lunch, we check in at the lodge located inside the Ecological Station of Raso da Catarina. Birding until the end of the day looking for Broad-tipped Hermit , Ruby-topaz Hummingbird, Stripebreasted Starthroat, Spot-backed Puffbird, Spotted Piculet, Cactus Parakeet, Black-bellied Antwren, Silvery-cheeked Antshrike, Caatinga Antshrike, Narrow-billed Woodcreeper, Caatinga Cacholote, Red-shouldered Spinetail, Lesser and Greater Wagtail-Tyrant, Browncrested Flycatcher, Ash-throated Casiornis, Southern Scrub-Flycatcher, White Monjita, White-naped Jay, White-bellied Gnatcatcher, Campo Troupial, Pale Baywing, Ultramarine Grosbeak, Black-throated Saltator, Pileated Finch, White-throated Seedeater and Redcowled Cardinal. Day 2 - After breakfast, we will visit the roosting site of Lear’s (Indigo) Macaw at Raso da Catarina. This will be an unforgettable experience for all the participants. While we are enjoying the wonderful views of the macaws, we also have a chance to search for the Black-chested Buzzard-Eagle, Bat Falcon, Blue-winged Macaw, Blue-crowned Parakeet and Velvety Black-Tyrant. After lunch, we will search for species as the Ochre-backed Woodpecker, Redlegged Seriema, Stripe-backed Antbird, Pectoral Antwren, Red-billed Scythebill, Grayheaded Spinetail, Pale-bellied Tyrant-Manakin, Tawny-crowned Pygmy-Tyrant, Greenish Elaenia and Scarlet-throated Tanager. Day 3 - After breakfast, we check out of the lodge and we drive (around 500 Km – 6 hours) to Potengi city, Ceará state. Here we will check into the Pau Preto lodge. After lunch, we will spend the afternoon around the lodge grounds looking for Scaled Dove, Dark-billed and Striped Cuckoo, Ferruginous Pygmy-Owl, Pygmy Nightjar, Least Nighthawk, Ruby-topaz Hummingbird, Swallow-tailed Hummingbird, Glittering-bellied Emerald, Spot-backed Puffbird, Cactus Parakeet, Stripe-backed Antbird, Caatinga Cacholote, White-naped Xenopsaris, Yellow-breasted Flycatcher, Pearly-vented Tody-tyrant, Southern ScrubFlycatcher, Campo Troupial, White-naped Jay, Pale Baywing, Red-cowled Cardinal, Pileated Finch and White-throated Seedeater. Dinner and check list.

Day 4 and 5 - After an early morning breakfast, we will drive to areas outside the lodge, where we will have excellent chances to see White-bellied Nothura, Southern Pochard, Paint-billed Crake, Broad-tipped Hermit, Spotted Piculet, Caatinga Antwren, Caatinga Antshrike, Planalto Slaty-Antshrike, White-browed Antpitta, Red-billed Scythebill, Great Xenops, Red-shouldered Spinetail, Ochre-cheeked Spinetail, Green-backed Becard, Ashthroated Casiornis, Hooded and Scarlet-throated Tanager and Gray-eyed Greenlet. After lunch we will look for any species we may have missed. Dinner and check list.

Day 6 - After an early morning breakfast we will drive to Barbalha city (around 150 Km – 2 hours) to look for the Araipe Manakin, one of the world’s most beautiful and endangered species. As we search for the manakin, we will also have plenty of chances to see the Graylined Hawk, Tawny Piculet, Black-capped Antwren, Black-tailed Flycatcher, Stripe-necked Tody-Tyrant, Moustached Wren, Pectoral Sparrow and Flavescent Warbler. After lunch we will drive back to Pau Preto Lodge, in Potengi. This will be our last afternoon at this area and we will dedicate our time searching for birds that we haven’t seen. Dinner and check list.

Day 7 - After breakfast, we will check out of the lodge and drive (around 400 Km – 6 hours) to Quixadá city, Ceará state. Check in at the Rosa dos Ventos lodge. After lunch, we will spend the afternoon around the grounds of the lodge concentrating on finding the endemic and endangered White-browed Guan. During our search we will have opportunities to see several bird species, including the Pearly-breasted Cuckoo, Biscutate Swift, Black-chested Buzzard-Eagle, Ochraceous Piculet, Golden-green and Ochre-backed Woodpecker and Crested Becard. Dinner and check list.

Day 8 - After breakfast, we check out of the lodge and will drive (around 150 Km – 3 hours) to Guaramiranga city, Ceará state. Check in at the lodge. After lunch, we will start our search for the key local species, such as the White-browed Guan, Rufous-breasted Hermit, Bluechinned Sapphire, Gould's Toucanet, Gray-breasted Parakeet, Ceara Gnateater, Short-tailed Antthrush, Ceara Leaftosser, Ceara Woodcreeper, Lafresnaye's Woodcreeper, Red-billed Scythebill, Pale-legged Hornero, Gray-headed Spinetail, Ochre-cheeked Spinetail, Bandtailed Manakin, Bearded Bellbird, Black-tailed Flycatcher, Buff-breasted Tody-Tyrant, Guianan Tyrannulet, Moustached Wren and the endemic and endangered Yellow-faced Siskin. At dusk, we will search for the Spectacled Owl. Dinner and check list.

Day 9 - Birding all day around Guaramiranga city looking for birds that we haven’t seen over the past few days. Dinner and check list.

Day 10 - After breakfast, we check out of the lodge and we drive (around 230 Km – 3:30 hours) to Sobral city, Ceará state. Check in at the lodge. After lunch, we will start our search for key species of the area as the White-bellied Nothura, Comb Duck, Southern Pochard, Yellow-breasted and Gray-breasted Crake, Spotted Rail, Pinnated Bittern, White Woodpecker, Hooded Gnateater, Moustached Woodcreeper, Smoky-fronted Tody-Flycatcher, Bright-rumped Attila and Guira Tanager. As it goes dark, we will try to see the Buff-fronted Owl. Dinner and check list.

Day 11 - Birding in the morning around Sobral city looking for birds that we haven’t seen already. After lunch, we will drive (around 170 Km – 2 hours) to Paracuru city, Ceará state. After we check in at the lodge, we will start our search for key species of the area as the White-cheeked Pintail, Rusty-margined Guan, Pearly-breasted Cuckoo, White-tailed Goldenthroat, Plain-bellied Emerald, Paint-billed Crake, White-fringed Antwren, Rusty-backed Antwren, Caatinga Antwren, Rufous-winged Antshrike, Pale-bellied Tyrant-Manakin, Stripe-necked Tody-Tyrant, Tropical Mockingbird, Yellowish Pipit and Hepatic Tanager. Dinner and check list.

Day 12 - After breakfast, we will visit an area of mangrove near the lodge. Depending of the time of the year, there is a chance to see Little Wood-Rail, Mangrove Rail, Mangrove Cuckoo, Lesser Nighthawk, Yellow-crowned Night-Heron, Black-bellied and Wilson's Plover, American Oystercatcher, Ruddy Turnstone, Hudsonian Whimbrel, Least and Semipalmated Sandpiper, Short-billed Dowitcher, Eastern Willet, Gray-hooded Gull, Brown Noddy, Gull-billed Tern, Black Tern and Roseate Tern and Bicolored Conebill. After lunch, we will go birding looking for birds that we may have missed on previous days. Dinner and check list.

Day 13 - After breakfast, we will bird in the morning around Paracuru city looking for birds that we haven’t seen already. After lunch, we will drive (around 100 Km – 1:30 hours) to the airport of Fortaleza city, Ceará state. Tour ends.
